Once there was a king who lost a valuable ring. He searched everywhere but couldn't find it. So, he announced that any astrologer who could tell him where it was would be richly rewarded. A poor peasant named Crab heard about this announcement. He couldn't read or write, but he decided he wanted to be the astrologer to find the king's ring. So, he went to the king and said, "Your Majesty, I am an astrologer, even though I look poorly dressed. I know you've lost a ring, and I'll try to find out where it is through my studies."

"Very well," said the king, "and when you find it, what reward should I give you?"

"That's up to you, Your Majesty."

"Go then, study, and we'll see what kind of astrologer you are."
